Canadian attorney Brian Ludmer will be a featured speaker at the upcoming Men and Families 2025 Conference, taking place September 19–20 at the Hilton Barbados Resort. His presentation, titled “Convincing a Court to Award Equal Parenting in Contested Cases,” will draw on his extensive experience navigating high-conflict custody disputes and advocating for equal shared parenting.

Brian Ludmer is the founder and primary agent of the firm Ludmer Law in Toronto,Ontario, where he focuses on family law matters including high-conflict custody battles, parental alienation, and denial of parenting time, as well as high-net-worth financial disputes. He has over three decades years of legal experience, with his primary areas of expertise being family law and business law. 

A published author, Ludmer co-wrote The High Conflict Custody Battle alongside Dr. Amy Baker and Dr. Michael Bone, a book that provides important guidance for families navigating complicated custody disputes. He is also a co-founder of the professional advocacy group Lawyers for Shared Parenting, and helped to draft Bill C-560, which recommended a presumption of equal shared parenting in all custody cases throughout Canada.  

At the Men and Families 2025 conference, attendees will gain practical insights from Brian Ludmer’s presentation, specifically on effective strategies to persuade courts to grant equal parenting in contested cases. His session, which is scheduled to take place between 10:10-11:30am on September 19th, promises to equip the audience of law professionals, therapists, advocates, and ordinary fathers with actionable tools to better support families and promote fair, child-focused outcomes.
