Canadian family law attorney Brian Ludmer will be one of the featured speakers at the upcoming Legal Perspectives Webinar, as presented by the International Families Alliance. The event, returning due to popular demand, is completely free to attend and will take place online on Wednesday, August 6, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. EST.
The webinar is made possible thanks to Canada’s Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), which is a federal research funding body. It is open to anyone who would like to learn more about the legal side of international family issues, especially those involving cross-border parenting challenges.
Brian Ludmer’s Toronto-based legal practice, Ludmer Law, is well-known for its work in both business and family law. For this event, Brian will be drawing on his considerable experience in family law, a branch of legal study to which he has dedicated much of his 30-plus-year career.
Joining Brian Ludmer in this session will be Jake Shen, a criminal defence lawyer. Both professionals practice in Ontario and will thus speak from a Canadian and an Ontarian legal perspective. They will cover general legal concepts and offer guidance on how the law views complex international and cross-border family situations.
An important note: This web session is informational in nature and is not intended to replace personal legal advice. Each legal situation is different, and laws vary across provinces, states, and countries. It’s also important to remember that the webinar is not confidential, so participants are asked not to share personal or identifying information.
